It's Your Cow
100% certified organic, certified grassfed beef born and raised in the Sandhills of Nebraska. We partnered with It's Your Cow in 2017 to bring their concept to life. We worked with them on their brand, photography, website, and initial marketing push.

IYC addresses the lack of access and transparency when buying beef. To tell the full story, our number one goal was to show people where their beef comes from and everywhere it goes before it gets to the table. The identity was inspired by the ranch.
We had tons of fun working on type iterations and iconography for this project.
Step one of the process is the cattle producer, or the Boettcher family. We started at their ranch with photography and videography. We got to know their entire family and how they became one of the only producers in Nebraska that is certified organic, and certified grassfed.
After the ranch comes the butcher.
Our goal with photography was to be honest about the process. We wanted to tell the true story about where your cow comes from and how it's processed. Transparency was key and we were able to accomplish this without being so gruesome that we turned customers away.
The final cut.
Putting it all together
The entire project culminated with the website. It was a fun collaboration with the IYC team and the final product was something we're extremely proud of. We had the opportunity to flex our dev muscles because the website had some really tricky components. They needed it on a CMS to control the content, but they also needed Shopify integration due to it's powerful remarketing capabilities and the out-of-the-box product management system.
We solved the problem by building a custom site on Craft CMS that utilized the Shopify API and everything was able to live under one URL for customer security and peace of mind. The ecommerce experience was seamless and the folks at IYC were able to keep track of inventory and shipping as easy as it was for them to change a photo on the homepage.
Just as important as the custom components...it needed to be easy to use. We focused a lot of time on the mobile experience and made sure that purchasing a 1/4 of a cow was as easy as clicking through a 3 step process.
“Dayshapes did a nice job with our project. With limited resources, they were able to help guide us to our company launch in only a few months.”
